Glowing Naturally
Beauty is not made, but cultivated through how we live, what we eat and how we think.
Keeping you well, from the inside out and the outside in is an important part of the wedding planning. You truly want to glow on your wedding day and treating yourself to a regime of skincare and time out plays an important role in ensuring you look your best.
We discovered a little sanctuary nestled in the back streets of Richmond (Vic) and they also have a studio in Byron Bay. The two are very unique beauty spaces, where you can pause, rest, reset and nourish, while treating your skin to some much-needed love.
Welcome to Little Company a beauty retreat that focuses it approach to the body’s largest organ – our skin – ensuring your approach to wellness extends beyond what you’re putting in your body to what you’re putting on it. The boutique was established by Stacey Burt. She started her foray into the industry in New Zealand, working at the award-winning geothermal Polynesian Spa. From there, she ventured to Australia, and now surrounds herself with a team of qualified beauty professionals. The team have been trained under Sharon McGlinchey, founder of prestigious skincare brand, MV Organics.
When it came to creating Little Company, the first step was the name. Stacey was looking for something versatile, which incorporated their aim to have minimal effects on the environment. In integrating the social meaning of ‘company’, she found the perfect moniker: after all, it’s a space where you can enjoy a little company, while looking after your skin. Stacey and her team are dedicated to just that: living skin. They use the term to emphasize the importance of treating skin as a living organ, and have formulated a range of treatments that are guided by this philosophy.
Therapies range from deep meditative and nourishing to repairing, remedial and targeted. In enacting these treatments, Stacey has selected products from trusted sources. Developing innate knowledge of each and every product, so you know exactly what they are feeding their clients skin.
The treatments fall under four categories: ‘a little bit of everything’, ‘a whole lot of love’, ‘a problem, solved’, and ‘a little prep’. The first has something for everyone, including a little education and direction. ‘A whole lot of love’ encompasses facials that give back what everyday living takes away. Choose ‘A Little Warmth’ for an instant boost of vitamins, minerals and nutrients courtesy of Sodashi’s exclusive thermal mask. This comprehensive approach to products extends to Little Company’s design.
All of the building materials came from sustainably produced and non-toxic sources, ensuring visitors would enjoy a completely natural experience. The interior was inspired by the idea of bringing the inside out and the outside in, so treatment rooms are built like cabins in a warehouse, which houses plants and raw outdoor resources.
It's a urban sanctuary or coastal retreat and besides, who would say no to a little company?
