The main dining room is adjacent to the deck on the upper level and holds a maximum of 110 guests seated and 150 cocktail, including a dance floor. Weddings are available breakfast, lunch and evenings, Monday to Sunday.

The house was built circa 1837 by Mortliner Lewis, Colonial Architect, and acquired by Pieter Laurentz Campbell, Colonial Treasurer who called it Zandoliet. In 1854 it became the Marine Hotel changed later to the Greenwich Pier Hotel- a pier ran from there out into the bay for some time, post holes for which can be seen in the rock shelf at low tide. For a time the grounds housed a zoo and later an open-air picture theatre. It became the Royal Hotel carrying the name until 1923. A year later it was conveyanced to the Vaucluse Municipal Council serving as Council Chambers until 1948 when amalgamation with Woollahra took place after 53 years of separation.

Civil ceremonies can be held on the Lower Lawn under the magnificent fig tree followed by pre reception drinks on the Harbour Terrace with the magnificent back drop of Sydney Harbour. Watsons Bay wharf is a stones throw from the venue, making arrival and departure by water accessible and alluring. Alternatively there is ample off street parking within a short walking distance.
