Bo & Luca SHAKTI Collection SS18
Bo & Luca have carefully created 11 artisanal pieces that have the same romantic signature and effortless fluidity that the Bo & Luca brand is known for.
Body skimming ruffles and bold floral hand beaded detailing falls over the body in the new spring summer collection. Finished with delicate scatterings of antique gold and silver beads on raw silk that are inspired by nostalgia of 70s glamour.
Shakti, the feminist Hindu principle of divine energy and empowerment through the
movement of the universe, was the main inspiration behind the new Bo & Luca
Spring summer 2018 collection.
Shannon Pittman comments, "As a creative, I am a firm believer in the energy and
positivity that you surround yourself with, so I strive to express this through our
collections."
With a subtle sensuality, this collection embodies the feminist principle
recreating and re-mastering the handwork and artisan skills, which are signature to
the Bo & Luca brand.
New beginnings, from the brand's relocation to Cape Town in South Africa helped form
the daringly fresh body skimming silhouettes; sexy yet demure. Hand manipulated gold flowers and vines embellish sheer tulle overlay maxi dresses, cinches in waists and relaxed flowing skirts create a feminine silhouette. Silk skirts with ruffled layering and sheer bishop sleeves, create fluidity, movement and are elegantly alluring. Perfect slip dresses, featuring soft draping, creating a sleek silhouette are hand embroidered and add romance to the gowns.
