A unique venue in Melbourne's eastern suburbs is now open for weddings and events. everAFTER were invited to the launch of Emulation Hall by CNK catering. It was a gin party with a twist!
Emulation Hall, originally constructed as a Masonic Lodge in 1927, is a rare architectural gem situated in Melbourne’s leafy inner eastern suburb of Canterbury. CNK Catering celebrated its recent restoration with a gin party where guests were invited to sip gin-inspired cocktails, taste the delights of antipasto stations and delicious desserts and mingle with industry guests all whilst listening to the smooth tones of a 3 piece jazz band featuring drums, double bass and saxophone.
Sensitively restored, Emulation Hall is a heritage listed building that comprises of three distinct and separate spaces.
At ground level is the Main Hall with soaring ornate ceiling, pristine hardwood floor and handmade light fittings. The neutral décor is classy and lends itself to all manner of styling. This level also includes a sweeping entry and stage.
The Supper Room on the first floor offers a large light filled room with original wooden detailing, newly upholstered classic furnishing and an impressive timber bar.
When we speak of secrets, the Temple Room is the real deal. This extraordinary space retains all the original Masonic features including stepped floors, timber bench seating and stunning heritage light fittings. The ornate celling features beautiful Egyptian themed motifs including astrological symbols and the all Seeing Eye of Horus. With generous proportions and a great sense of intimacy, this quietly glamorous space is perfect for both wedding ceremonies and receptions.
