Tips for getting wedding skin ready!

Schedule beauty or facial treatments in advance and avoid any facial waxing at least a week prior to your wedding as wax can cause irritation and makeup will not adhere to freshly waxed skin. Also, if you do any in-depth treatments that may bruise, be sure to allow a window of time to heal. No last minute Botox à la Ab Fab okay?

Plan for the conditions of the season you are going to be in during your wedding. When external factors change so should your skincare. In winter, heating, strong winds and less daylight are just some of the factors that can affect your skin.

Consider the addition of a few skin first aid treatments in the lead up to your wedding. A great spot treatment, lip balm, beauty oil, and a heavier barrier style cream in the case of wind.

For new skin treatments, ask yourself, if there was one area of my skin that needs more love and attention, what would it be and use that as a starting point. With the myriad of solution driven products available to us to create flawless, glowing skin it is beneficial to have an idea about what you require more specifically.

With heavy contouring and stylized makeup behind us, it’s time to look forward to freshness. Nurture your skin and create a canvas using your true beauty. When you look back and reminisce about your wedding you can relive the joy of the moment, not what was trending in beauty on Instagram.

Good luck with all your planning and preparation,
