Karen Willis Holmes designs elopement collection
Take us back to 1971 in the seaside town of Saint-Tropez where Mick and Bianca Jagger exchanged their vows. Karen Willis Holmes has taken inspiration by the unconventional and nostalgic muse and couples who just want to get married right now given weddings look a little different due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Bridal designer Karen Willis Holmes has created a collection of gowns for those brides that are choosing not to postpone anymore and elope. “The ELOPE collection was designed for the anti-bride, for the woman defying societies traditions. She wants to elope, escape, and have her happy ever after, her way,” said Karen.
ELOPE is the continued love story for the brand and yet the beginning of a completely new chapter given the changes and climate of weddings. "The ELOPE collection is far from traditional; it is the perfect blend of striking sophistication with a playful twist. I have designed tailored silhouettes with craftsmanship and artistry in mind - silk satin, gilded lace, and stretch fabrics combined with ostrich feather accents graces this collection to form immaculate lines and sensual shapes,” explained Karen.
The capsule collection consists of 9 pieces and each piece is hand-made to order, ELOPE blends the refined aesthetic of our coveted BESPOKE collection, yet taking on a new, modern sensibility for the trailblazing bride who dares to be different, bold, sexy and beautiful.
Pieces such as mini slip dresses, jumpsuits, pantsuits, two pieces, off-the-shoulder bodices are featured as part of the fresh new look for KWH. Understated and unfussy, yet romantic and feminine, this dynamic collection is destined for a runaway wedding or as an alternative reception look.
