I vividly recall my grandmother sharing stories about India during my childhood. She spoke of the bright smiles of the Indian people, their warmth, and their friendliness. She described the stunning colonial architecture of Delhi and the pink city of Jaipur, where the air was filled with the sweet scent of marigolds. Agra, where the majestic Taj Mahal stands as the ultimate testament to love. She painted a picture of Jodhpur, set against the stark landscape of the Thar Desert, with its 15th-century fort overlooking the walled city, where houses are painted blue. She reminisced about Udaipur, the lake city, and excitedly mentioned the palace in the middle of the lake, where "Octopussy" was filmed—she was an avid James Bond fan. She also spoke of the holy city of Varanasi, where pilgrims perform sacred rituals on the banks of the Ganges.

Captivated by the tales my grandmother had told, I decided this year to embark on my own journey and explore the diverse and enchanting landscapes of India. Although I usually navigate travel planning with confidence, the prospect of exploring India alone and knowing few who had ventured there prompted me to seek expert assistance. I enlisted the help of Peirce & Leslie, renowned for their expertise in Indian travel to craft the perfect itinerary together with the help of my local travel agent, Out & About Travel. The result exceeded all my expectations—it truly was everything I had dreamed of and more.
