Isabella & Michael

Isabella and Michael have their brothers to thank for their meeting. They two met in 2010 at a Sunday Soccer match that the brothers played together. In 2019 Michael proposed to Isabella after a wonderful dinner “we were walking around Mrs Macquarie's Chair in Sydney’s Botanic Gardens. It was so intimate and special. Truly a reflection of our relationship: precious and memorable.”
In Michaels suit a small pocket was made on the left side this where he placed his late mum's wedding ring, and carried with him on the day.
Isabella’s Bouquet featured a white gold and blue medallion of Mother Mary, Passed down from her Great Aunty.
St Charles Borromeo is Isabella’s local parish and been the central point where so many joyful occasions have taken place. Her parents were married at the church and presented a connection for both Isabella and Michael.
“Most couples probably have the same memory, however the moment we both saw each other in the church, it was unparalleled. We just remember staring at each other until we met at the end of the aisle. Our most favourite memory was our entrance into the reception.”
a little piece of advice
“Always be inspired by your true self. There are so many options and so much visual stimulation which is important, but stay true to your dreams and to your personality that is the most important piece of advice. Pictures say a thousand things and when we look back on your photos and our video, we smile with happiness as this is all so reflective of the start of the best adventure yet!”
Unstructured and untamed was the inspiration for the bouquets. Florals consisted of white dahlias, white garden roses, proud white roses, lisianthus, Phalaenopsis orchids and lush greenery. The Bridesmaids had the beautiful Quicksand Rose colour which complimented their dresses.
Isabella and Michael are fans of The Blue's Brothers and had arranged for their band The Baker Boys to perform 'Everybody needs, Somebody' during their entrance. As a surprise to Michael, Isabella had arranged for it to rain confetti over the dance floor. “He didn't know that was going to happen! It was an epic feeling watching his reaction,” said Isabella.
Isabella worked closely with their florist and stylist Wild Coupar & Co to incorporate meaning and unique aspects into even the smallest of details. “I was inspired by the textures and look of grapes, so we worked, red grapes into our florals for a hit of modern texture. Each person was provided a piece of 'Leather Fern' which wishes for that individual: love, confidence, shelter, wealth, and even happiness. This is a great plant to give someone that you really care about and have some great feelings towards.” Wild Coupar & Co incorporated different arrangements for the two types of tables; King tables and Oval tables. They were styled with candles that danced in the night and made the room intimate.
Michael's wedding speech is something that resonates with my on a weekly basis. It's comforting to know i've married my best friend.
the first dance
'You Send Me' by Aretha Franklin “It describes a feeling of love so deep, it takes you to another world. It's a smooth adaptation of all things wonderful about love, life and adventure together. Because life is a big adventure and 'you send me' is about the uncharted roads of love.”
let’s eat cake
“Michael and I love the intricate detail of clean lines and simple silhouettes. The flavours were delicious, such a stunning centrepiece.”
