Launched in 2016, CON ILIO is an evening and bridal fashion house based in Melbourne, Australia.
The fashion house is globally inspired, with the designer, Con Iliopoulos and his team of classically educated couture seamstresses – using European sourced fabrics and employing intricate hand beading and lace crafting techniques to cater for the haute couture market in Australia.
His team worked tirelessly to create the first CON ILIO collection, which incorporates the breathtaking hydrangea dress featuring an impressive 21,500 hand-sewn hydrangea petals taking the team more than 1,000 man hours to create.
From Milan to Paris and Berlin to Tokyo, Creative Director and Designer, Con Iliopoulos explored some of the world’s fashion capitals for inspiration and to source the most opulent fabrics for its first ever collection.
The collection showcases Japanese inspired cherry blossom trees and white and blue hydrangea flowers, intricate prints from the vibrant Milan textiles scene and Parisian chic black gowns.
The timeless nature and breadth in CON ILIO’s designs have already attracted leading Australian celebrities and international luxury publications since its inception in 2015.
