Bali is know for it’s beach clubs so why not experience one of the world’s best as voted by CNN traveller and experience Karma Beach Club. Take the resorts inclination down the 85 meter cliff face before stepping out to white sand and cobalt waters. Relax in your private cabana as the waves lap the shoreline and summer beats whistle through the breeze from the clubs local DJ. The restaurant and bar offers the perfect location to indulge in a long lunch, the Tuna Tartar from the RAW menu is some of the best I’ve eaten while the Crab Linguini still lingers on my mind. Not normally one for desserts I had to try the Sundae Split after we heard a ‘When Harry met Sally, Meg Ryan” moment from the table opposite devouring theirs. Brownies, salted caramel, banana, chocolate sauce, strawberries, chocolate ice cream, strawberry ice cream, vanilla ice cream, chocolate chips.... yep, it was everything and more. Order it!
Temple Lounge Rooftop Bar offers intoxicating sunset views and the perfect backdrop for asking those life changing words “will you marry me”. As the sunsets make your way down stairs to the islands most dramatic fine-dinning location Di Mare restaurant which is suspended 85 meters above the surf on a rocky outcrop overlooking the resorts iconic infinity pool. The seasonal menu focuses on fresh local ingredients, exotic flavours and classic cooking techniques, complemented by a superb list of international wines.
If heights aren’t your thing, journey down to Karma Beach and experience your treatment at Ocean Segara’ Spa.
